Angel stories

Archive X's extensive and constantly growing collection of true angel stories is completely reader contributed.

Angels are considered to be divine messengers, a being sent by God to impart a message. The message may be as simple as it's not your time, yet. Most of the angel stories on Archive X belong in this category. Some of our stories are about people impossibly rescued from dangerous situations such as car crashes or drowning. Other stories tell how something -- which can only be described as divine intervention -- gently guided someone out of harm's way.

Angels appear in times of crisis -- physical or emotional, and sometimes even appear when summoned. So whether you call them guardian angels, spirit guides, or angel encounters, it doesn't matter. They are all similar protectors. But don't expect them to be clothed all in white and sporting feathery wings, either. Some look just like everyday people. You never know when there are angels among us.

The Angel Dogs
One of these nights, my Mom decided to leave and walk home. My father did not want to leave yet, so he stayed behind. My mother started out up the long street which was on a steep hill, pushing my brother in a stroller. It was late and the town was somewhat quiet with few cars passing by. A few minutes into the walk, she passed a man on the opposite side of the street.

An Angel's Promise
So along with my claustrophobia, I was caught up with concern for the future wellbeing of my longtime companion, Arthur, who is a 23-year-old ocey cat (having ocelot spots). He has the most perfectly clear and wise sapphire eyes I have ever encountered. Rather than drinking from a bowl, he drinks from crystal stemware, but only accepts Crystal Geyser spring water, is too much a gentleman of quality to hurt other creatures. He enjoys joining me for classical music in softly lit surroundings, and even has a certain number of phrases in English, which totally astounds visitors, when he makes comments or demands in their presence. Would not anybody, be terribly worried about the prospect of this gentleman of quality, with a 23 year track record for fidelity, being thrown out alone in this uncaring world?

In the Nick of Time
On my return home by foot I was walking along a two-lane road facing the oncoming traffic. I received a urgent message that said clearly, "Walk off the road 4 foot into the grass area (to my left side) the car coming up behind you is going to try to hit and kill you. You will fly into the air and become impailed on the chain link fence". I immediately began to argue with myself saying that why would anyone try to kill me? I don't have an enemy in the world.

Faith
I met my angel in the hospital. As I sat crying at the devastation done to my child and the pain he was going to have to endure. I ask god why! I was trying so hard to be a good Christian, mother, wife, everything I thought I was supposed to be.
