The Elevator Ghost

The following is a true account, experienced by two other persons besides myself. We were leaving Sutter Roseville Hospital late one evening in January 1999, after visiting a patient, my father. We were on the second floor and as we approached the elevator, we saw someone enter the elevator. We hurried to catch it and the doors shut just as we reached it. I pressed the button and the doors opened right away. There was no one there. There was no time for the elevator to travel to the first floor and back. We checked at the desk and found that there was no other way out of the elevator. The odd thing was that each of us saw something different. I saw a woman in pastel blue pants and shirt, like scrubs, enter the elevator. She was petite with short dark hair. I thought at first that she was a nurse. My brother saw someone go in, but he could not describe the person. His wife saw a 'dark shadow' enter the elevator. (She and some other female members of her family have the ability to see spirits as 'dark shadows', which is another story in itself.) I believe that this was a ghost, the only one that I THINK I have ever seen. If they all look as 'real' as this one did, how would I really know?
