Our House

I have posted some other experiances I have had before on this site, a while ago. I moved from Maryland to Pennsylvania about a month ago. When I found this house for rent in the local paper I called up the owner and made an appointment to go look at the house and talk with him. He took me to go look at it and I walked through the house, everything seemed fine. When we went back to his house to discuss the details of me renting it he seemed to be in a really big hurry to get the house rented and get his money, which I thought was just typical greed at the time. A little about the place, its on a farm, the farm could easily be about 100 years old but the house we are living in is not the original house. Our house was built probably in the 1920's.

The first night that I was there I was in the sitting room which has two doors in it, one opens up to the attic which is my room and the other opens into the basement. Well that night I was there I was unpacking some boxes and it was really late, I heard an older mans voice having a conversation in the basement but you couldnt hear the other persons answers. I listened for awhile and then I got up and yelled down the basement stairs, nobody answered so I shut the door tightly and turned on every light in the house.

A couple of nights later my daughter was sleeping in her room downstairs and I was upstairs in my room with the baby monitor on, I was awoke in the middle of a night by a sound on the monitor I laid there and listened..it sounded like a new born baby crying, my daughter is 2 and I know the difference between her cry and a babys but I went down to check on her just in case and she was sound asleep. I went back upstairs and laid there for half an hour listening to this baby cry on the monitor until finally it just stopped. I started hearing a child cough in my sons room and nobody likes going into my sons room it has a strange feeling everytime you walk into it. He even tells me he sees things in it at night.

One night I was upstairs in my room smoking a cig. and blowing it out the window, I was looking out in the front yard and saw a misty figure standing by a tree in the front yard it looked at me for a few mins and then just vanished. Lately I have noticed that if Im on the computer downstairs late at night I will see black figures out of the corner of my eye but when I turn around to look they are gone, and lights have started to come on and off by themselves as well as doors opening and shutting. I am not going to try to get rid of my ghost im rather intrigued by it.
