A Toast Before I Go

My husband and I had a very dear friend that was very sick with cancer but we did not know how serious it was. On thursday; Dean, myself, Jimmy and his wife were at our upholstery shop and he wanted to have a toast before he left town that friday, so we went to the local bar and had a few drinks and then Jimmy and Shirley left. A week later I had a dream that we were back at the shop and Jimmy told us that he wanted to have a toast before he go, because this will be the last time that we will see him. Well! I woke up in a state because I knew that Jimmy was saying goodbye, so I told my husband to call Jimmy but he said that he was still out of town but I insisted that he call. Shirley answered the phone and said that Jimmy was in a comma and to meet her at the V.A. hospital in Chicago. When we got there, the doctors were unplugging him from life support. When I told his wife Shirley what happeened, she start crying because before he died he talked about the last toast. Mechele Dean
