An Angel Interrupted My Sleep II

This happened to me last night and I wanted to share it with someone ...
Although my house is all on ground floor level, I always leave my small, top windows open because I like the fresh air and it allows my cat to jump in and out for the loo during the night. The top windows are only about 12", but probably just enough for a slim body to squeeze through. I always leave a few lights on too though and the blinds down, so that if there are any prowlers, then it looks as if there might still be someone awake in the house.

A few times over the years, I have wakened in the wee small hours, with what sounds like a muffled banging noise on my bedroom door. For some reason, I intuitively know that this is a sign for me to get up, I close my windows and get back into bed.

Last night I was in a very deep and peaceful sleep. About 1.30am I heard the muffled banging but I was in such a deep sleep that it was background noise in my dream. Then, I heard a child run into my room, I felt one small arm tuck around my waist and the other hand clapped me on the shoulders a couple of times and said 'come on, come on' but in a comforting voice, as if to try and wake me up gently. I was wakening up and I'm quite sure I was awake, when I heard what sounded like little bare feet run back out of the room and down the wooden floors in the hallway. For some reason (don't ask me why) I knew it was a very happy little girl with long, brown hair and a little white gown on.

I got up and closed the two windows which were open - the bathroom and then the kitchen. I seen my cigarettes lying in the kitchen and decided to have one before going back to bed and it was while I was standing there in the dark kitchen, I heard male voices outside the kitchen window. Although a little scared, I knew that I was safe now because the windows and doors were all closed tight and of course, they would have seen movement in the house and the windows being shut. I live with my two kids (and my cat) and I wonder what would have happened to us all had they got in, but thankfully I don't have to think about that .. thanx to my guardian angel. I think I'll keep those windows firmly shut for a while! Thank you for reading this and I hope you all have a very loving and Happy Christmas xxx
