Angels Among Us

My mother, was a firm believer in angels. When she had a heart attack in 1999 she was not expected to make it through her hospital stay there. Well I have to say, angels were with her. I remember speaking to her in the hospital after one of her surgeries and she told me that she was going to be around for a while. She said that she had 2 angels watching over her. There was one that stayed beside her bed the whole time and one that stood at the door. Well, I thought it was from all of the medication and she was just not in the right state of mind yet, but still insisted right up to the day she died she had her guardian angels with her at all times.

When my mother was diagnosed with cancer they did not know how much time she had. She told me she did not want to fight anymore that she was tired and ready to go home. My mother only lasted 5 days the cancer spead so quickly, but the ironic thing was that the last 2 days the only song she would listen to was " Angels Among Us " by Alabama. To this day if all of the kids are together we hear this song on the radio. We think she is just letting us know that she is watching.

My Mother always said that she would watch over my son, even after she passed and i never knew how true this was until 6 months after she died. My son who was 2 at the time kept crying and crying. Being a 1st time mom i did not know what to do. This went on for 3 hours. I finally decided I was going to try laying down with him one last time before i took him to the emergency room. We layed down he let out this blood curdling gasp and said " mommy there is grammy " and fell right to sleep. You see, I believe my mother lives through my son at times. There is no other way that my son now almost 6 can tell me the things that he does or remember her like he does, because it hurts me to talk about it. I just miss her so much. like my mother said " baby there will always be angels among us and when i am gone i will be one of them "

There is no doubt my mother has those wings and will always be watching.
