Female on the Side of the Road

It was Sunday November 28th and I was driving back to my college after spending a week with my family and friends for thanksgiving. It was around 2am and there was heavy fog so I couldn't see very well and I was driving slowly when I noticed a car pulled off to the side with its 4ways on. I paid no attention to it and I got off on the next exit to get gas.

After getting gas I accidentally got on the wrong on ramp and began to head south. Once I realized my mistake I got off another exit and started heading north again. As I was driving I passed the car on the side of the road again. This time the lights were not on but the trunk was open and the fog had slightly lifted.

I continued driving slow not paying much attention when all of a sudden I saw a female about 18-25 wearing a short red dress with a large black ribbon in her hair standing in the far right hand lane waving me down like crazy with a very panicked look on her face. I didn't really have time to think before I pulled over. I though this woman was in serous trouble other wise I would never have stopped.

I pulled over about 20 feet in front of the woman and turned around to see if she was walking towards the vehicle. When I looked there was no one there. At this time I had my windows rolled down because I had been smoking a cigarette and I heard a blood curdling scream off in the woods. I threw my car into drive and sped off.

I don't know if this has anything to do with my encounter but whenever I drive at night, street lights go off all the time. Not just one or two but 5 to 7 and I have friends who will no longer drive with me at night because they are too scared.
