This isn't scary and there may be an explanation for this occurrence but I believe it was a ghost.

My dad and his girlfriend moved into an old house and they love to collect old and antique furniture and ornaments. My dad's girlfriend, Kelly, had a daughter the same age as me called Lucinda, we got on very well. One day when I was staying over at my dad's I was on the phone to Lucinda as she was staying at her dad's. I was sitting on the bottom step of the stairs in the hall and the cat, Tom, was sittin outside the door of the front room staring into the room. We hardly ever sat in the front room as it always seemed to be cold and I always found it spooky. So we kept a lot of the antique things in this room. So I was talking away to Lucinda and I heard this loud bang and the cat ran past me like lightning into the back room. I told Lucinda to hold and I ran into the front room. Kelly's small, gold box who had been given to her by her mother just before she died many, many years ago was lying 5ft away from the old antique unit it normally sat on. I felt a shiver go right down my spine, and the bang must've been so loud even ma dad heard it and he ran through to the room asking if I was OK and asked what happened. We have never yet been able to explain this story, but I'll never forget it because I have this awful feeling that it was a ghost.
