He Said His Final 'Good Bye'
From: Nonna (kirby_nmp_CRU@hotmail.com) Story type: Angel Location: Baltimore, Maryland (mother's house) Source: Form Submission
I'm not sure if you would consider this an angel story but here goes. My youngest brother was shot and killed in September 2003. My neice Raven age 2 at the time was not allowed to attend the funeral services nor was she told that my brother was dead. Each time she asked for him, she was told by my other brother (her father), "He is asleep" She would reply, "Oh" and continue to play.
During the weeks after his death, Raven began to sneak off by herself and have conversations with someone in the house. We followed her one day without her knowing, into her bedroom as she began to talk with someone. I asked her, "who are you talking to" And quickly responded, "I'm talking to Ko-Ko" Shocked I asked her .. well where is Ko-Ko. She sort of sucked her teeth and said, "He's right there" (as if to say, silly woman, don't you see him there).
This went on for several weeks until one Sunday after church we were in my mother's living room and Raven began to scream at the top of her lungs, "Nooooooooooo, come back, Nooooooo .. Ko-Ko, Nooooooooo!!!" All we could do was sit and stare at her. After 10 minutes or so she began to speak through her cries. She began to describe what the police officers inform us of ... the crime scene and activities during my brothers shooting. Needless to say, everyone was staring with their mouths wide open. We began to go back and forth with one another asking, "Did anyone speak of this around her?" Everyone agreed they no one did such a thing. Raven finally, said after she'd calmed down that Ko-Ko wouldn't pick her up and that he left. After that day she never spoke to or of him again.
There has been several other situations
during that time as well. If you would like to contact me, you may do
