I Couldn't Sleep

I've never been a good sleeper. I believe in the supernatural, and I watch horror movies all the time. I don't know why I do, then I just can't sleep at night. Things always seem to be happening in this house. Freezer and fridge doors opening, my dog acting weird, things moving, so-on and so forth.

Anyways, it was a Saturday night. It was around midnight. I had just turned off the TV. I thought I might as well try to sleep. I have a full-size bed, and have a habit of sleeping on one side. I was on the left, nearest to my door. My dog always sleeps on the other side on top of the covers(she's a black lab). I was lying on my back, staring up at the ceiling. I heard a growling noise. My dog. In that house, she's always staring into space. Her ears perked up, alert and ready. She was doing it again. It freaks me out when she does that. I pet her head, and tried gently to push her head down, attempting to make her sleep. But she's too strong.

I heard this WHOOSH!! noise, and she started darting her head around. As if she was folling a bouncy ball bouncing off the walls. I heard a low growl that didn't belong to my lab, and this force or something pushed me out of the bed!! I shrieked really loud. I would've called for my dad, but he was at the Marine Corps Ball. I just about wet my pants. I was so scared. The covers had come with me, and I just lay there for a minute. My dog came over to my side of the bed, and just lay there looking at me, like I was stupid. I sat there for awhile, listening.

Eventually, I pulled myself up, and ran over to the light switch. (I didn't go out of the room, because the rest of the house is freakier than my bedroom) When I flicked it on, an old backpack from the top of my closet fell out(I keep my closet open). Again, I stood there for awhile. I turned on my TV, and pushed in a movie that stuck out of the VCR(Ace Ventura: Pet Detective). I ran to jump on my bed, situated my pillows to where I could sit up, and grabbed my remote. Turns out, the movie was over, and the credits were rolling. I pushed STOP, REWIND. But it kept, stopping, and fastforwarding. That happened for awhile, so I just watched TV. I stayed up all night, my dog staying close by. I feel safer with her around. Nothing much happened after that night. Just coins jingling, books falling from the bookshelf, and that occasional freaky sound.
