My step-mother was given a set of old children's books by her mother. My step-mother had just had my sister and wanted something interesting to read to her. She told be about the odd things that happened when ever the books had been in her home. Soon after I realized that I too had been in the mist of a ghostly presents. The happenings began about a week after receiving the books; things were rearranged around the living room. My step-mother's dolls that sat on the counter were facing in a different direction when she returned home. She once left a push toy against the wall and when she came back to her house it was sitting in the middle of the living room. No one else had been in all day.

Then there were the strange sounds. These were what I noticed when I was visiting one weekend. The sounds of happy children echoed thought out the kitchen, the pitter-patter of little footsteps came with them, my now one year old sibling would often act like there were other children in the room, and she would run around and laugh a nothing. My step-mother's father is a preacher; he came and blessed the house. My step-mother sold the children's books because she had decided that the haunting had started when they had come into her possession. After that the sounds and moving of things stopped altogether. I became deeply interested in ghost stories after the happenings that I witnessed and learned. Needless to say it made a believer out of me.
