I have had this feeling a couple of times but only at my boyfreind Martin's flat.

I would just be falling asleep when I get this pressure feeling holding my body still. I can only open my eyes a little but it is enough to see the wall on the other side of the room.

At first I think it will pass so i try to move but I become terrified when I realise that I cannot move a single muscle. I am completely aware of where I am and I can even hear Martin who is sleeping next to me. I can even feel his body heat. I try calling out to him to help me wake up but nothing happens, my mouth doesnt move. I start thrashing around inside of my body, screaming for Martin in my head. Sometimes I also get a feeling of dread, like there is someone or something in the room with us and it means us harm.

I am finally able to jolt back to reality. I have spoken to my friends about this experience and they all agree that it could be sleep paralysis.
