She Got to See Her

Yes, I would like to share with all that read about my grandmother. My grandmother was only 57 years of age when she died Jan 28,2005. She had been battling with kidney failure alittle over twenty years. I was her first grandchild and I had been away from home for over three years. I tried so hard to get back to Dallas from where I was but when the time was right I got back here. I moved back in Feb 2004. That year I shared alot more time with my grandmother than I had been able to since I left.

I'm twenty six years old and was pregnant with my fourth child. Everyone had their opinion but my grand mother was still pride of me. Well my grandmother wanted to have a baby shower for me in Jan but it was planned for Feb since the baby wasn't due untill March 6,2005. I never knew then why she wanted to have this baby shower in that month but now I do. My grandmother had taken insurance out on herself me and my children and she stated that we need this cause you never know when it will be your time.

On the day my grandmother was to pass I called my mother at 7 something in the morning and I was explaining to her that my baby hadn't moved in over and hour. And for the women that are reading this you know when your baby doesn't move we get scared thinking the worst. Well I bounced my belly up and down and my baby still never moved.My mother was listening as I was telling her this story about my baby and she told me to hold that her other line was ringing.

She came back after having me hold for a long time, I usually hang up but for some reason I didn't. She stated that was the kidney center telling her that they rushed my grandmother to the hospital about 45 mins ago. That she had been in a coma while there and they thought her blood preasure was too low and tried to get it back but she still wouldn't respond. So my mother was told to go to the hospital cause it wasn't looking very well. I rushed to get my cloths on and meet my mom and the doctor was there explaining that my grandmother was basically dead but they where bring her back to life and could continue to do this if that was the families wish, however they where only prolonging death not life. I explained to my mother the signs were there that she knew this day was approaching so allow her to rest that her battled was won already so it's time for her to rest.

As my grandmother passed we were able to see her and her body looked so much at peace. I cry as I write this sharing this with you all cause when I and my mother talked my baby had stopped moving at the exact time my grand mother went into her coma. Lord knew that she wanted to see my baby so badly so he allowed her time with her.I believe that God allowed my grandmother to see her unborn great grandchild and she rocked her in her arms saying it's going to be okay. My grandmother was laid to rest on Feb 5,2005 and my daughter was born Feb 24, 2005.My grandmother middle name is marie and my daughter name is Mariah Marie and to my grandmother I Love You.
