What the Landlords Forget to Tell You...

After growing up in two haunted houses, I've become somewhat used to "text-book examples" of ghosts. When I moved into the apartment that I live in now I knew the place was haunted within the first few days. Unlike the first two places, this time I decided to hold a few seances to see who it was that co-resided with me.

During the seances, I found out the ghost is a woman who went by the name of "Tanta". Not sure if that is her real name, but it works when I or any of my friends see her.

At first I was the only one seeing, hearing, and sensing Tanta. But, over time more and more people who were at my place or stayed there would sense or see her. I seemed to be the lucky one who got to hear her walking around; sometimes bumping into things. I did get lucky one night; she was calling my name and woke me up from a deep sleep only to discover the pilot light on my heater had gone out and my apartment was filling with natural gas.

What I and my friends have seen: blue orbs (usually coming out of the bedroom closet, but in various parts of the apartment); shadow like figures in the center of the rooms and next to the bed; silvery glowing figures/outlines of a person in various parts of the apartment.

My friend "J" sort of believed about Tanta until he spent a week at my place. On his first night at my place his hysterical screaming woke me up. He kept saying that there was a blue sphere that came out of the closet and floated around the bedroom and it made a weird electrical popping noise. By the time I completely woke up, the sphere was gone, but the popping noise continued for a few moments. It took me about 10 minutes to calm "J" down; I was a bit unraveled too for I had never heard Tanta make that noise before. Maybe it was for show to let "J" now she was there. I told "J" he had just seen his first ghost and in the future when he sees her just say "Hello Tanta" and roll over and go back to sleep (it works for me). The very next night I was in bed and he was still up watching TV Tanta appeared in the dining area as the blue sphere. "J" said "Hello, Tanta" and he said the sphere bounced a few times and disappeared back into the wall.

Feel free to write to me about some more of my encounters and my friends encounters. Tanta doesn't have a set schedule, but if anyone wants to study my apartment I'm game.
