The Girl in the Chimney

One weekend me, my parents, and my little brother went to my Grandpa's house to spend the night. When we got there, I decided I was going to take a walk up the hill. My Grandpa owns a nursery up in Sandy, so if you go to the top of the hill, you can get a BEAUTIFUL view of Mt. Hood. So we went to the top of the hill, to read our books and stuff, when I thought I heard rustling in the bushes. I went over towards the bush to find that I was standing near the coolest thing you could find at my Grandpa's house: a chimney from a pioneer's cottage. It was all that was left of the old house. And while one side had a clear pathway, the other side was covered by a blackberry bush. Then I thought I heard humming... hmmm hmmmm hm... then it stopped. I looked closer through the thorns and saw (very faintly of course) a little girl with a doll close to her chest sitting inside the chimney. She was staring at me with big blue eyes. She looked like she was about 10 or 11 years old. About my age. I looked away for a moment and then looked back. She was gone. This all happened about 2 or 3 weeks ago.
