Haunted Casino

I story is about a casino that I worked at for 5 years. Before I started working here I had heard all the about the strange and wierd happenings from my dad who has worked there for over 10 years and continues to.

I began work on August 13th 2001, the day after I turned 21, I did keep all the stories in the back of my mind. I started my job in the security department as a regular officer and as I walked around the property I heard my name being called several times, but I put it off as just the customer talking amongst themselves.

Until one night I worked the overnight shift and had my first real expirence, Growing up I aquired a nickname from my friends that only they knew, as i was walking upstairs in the office area of the casino I heard someone yell my nickname. Now this freaked me out because nobody knows me by that name at work. I looked around and checked with the surveillance department to see if anyone was in the area that wasnt suppose to be, and it was only me on that level of the building.

I told my dad and others about what had happened and they just laughed and told me welcome to the club. I heard my name and nickname being called out on a regluar basis after this and it became just another thing that happened at work.

People have said that the casino was built over a burial ground and thats why things happen, now this had never been confirmed but there has to be something there i think.

The most interesting that happened while I was there was and EVP that we caught on a digital recorder in the office area of the casino. During the night this area was deserted, only a few cleaning people and security people entered the area from time to time. I took my recorder and placed it near an office door and walked out of the room, and said "I am leaving now." I left to room and stood outside of the door to the room. The door was a glass door and I watched the room to make sure nobody entered and tampered with the recorder.

After about 10 minutes I stopped to recorder and took it down to the security office to listen if I caught anything. I pugged to computer speakers in the headphone jack and pressed play. At first there was a little static and then you could hear me saying that I as leaving now, and a few seconds after A womens voice could be heard saying, "Where are u going?" It was clear as day. I got some of my co workers and told them what I did and had them listen to the recording and they were shocked.

Well since i quit working there a new casino and hotel have been built. I wonder if they will have more permanent guests in the new buildings?
