Meeting with a Spirit Guide

I had been reading articles on channeling and I wanted to find out who my spirit guide was.I had been practicing meditation and breathing in light and I had this vision where a great ball of light was almost blinding me but when I looked past the light I saw a roman soldier. I asked him if he was my guide but he told me that he was my brother´s guide. He told me to look at a photo of my brother and I would find him.I forgot about the dream but the next day I found some photos that I had taken when my brother and his family visited me. There was a photo of my brother alone in my flat, and in the reflection from the flashbulb on the wood panelling of my wall I could see an image of the roman soldier. I had the photo enlarged and the detail was unbelievable. The roman soldier was visible from his forehead down to his chin. You could see the pattern on his helmet, his nose gaurd, the shape of his eyes. even people who don´t believe in ghosts have told me it gives them the creeps ! The roman soldier came back to me once more and told me that he had killed my brother in a former life and he was acting now as his guide as a form of karma. I have never met my own guide but I would really like to. Please E-mail me with any suggestions.
