My Dead Folks

I have this really strange thing in me. It's like an intuition when someone in my family dies. It all started when I was 4 years old. We were in Guwahati (A city in the state of Assam in India). My dad's in Indian Army. We were posted there.

Now around three in morning I woke up and went to bathroom for absolutely no reason! And I was standing on my stool in front of the mirror and saw my aunty (my dad's only sister) standing behind me. She was looking really pale and weak. I loved her a lot and as I turned to greet her she wasn't there. I was small but didn't get scared. I walked up to my parent's room and said 'dad I'm missing Bua Ji.' (That's how we refer to dad's sister in India). Papa asked me to go and sleep now and that we'll talk to her in morning. I really don't know what made me say that but my exact words were 'papa we won't be able to talk to her. She's not here.'

Dad never paid any attention that time but that morning dad got a call from Patna (a city in India where my aunty lived) that she passed away in the morning around three.

Next time when it happened I was 7 years old. Dad was supposed to take some patient to some other city. Dad is a highly qualified doctor in Army. We got a call that my maternal uncle that is my mom's eldest brother had met with an accident and was pretty serious. He never told this to me or my mom also. He just said that uncle is unwell and that too just to my mom. I had absolutely no hints about it. Next morning I woke up at 5 and went to my mom and said 'mom dad isn't here. How will we go to Patna?' Mom said why we need to go there. And I replied something is seriously wrong with your brother. And after 15 minutes the phone buzzed announcing his death. I had seen him bloody and white outside my window before going to my mom's room. Few moments later when my mom kept the phone down shocked, I fainted. When my favorite uncle died (dad's eldest brother) I was 12. We were in Jallandhar. Me and my brother were sitting and talking on our dining table. Suddenly I started talking about him. And then I started talking about death. Few seconds later I saw him outside my window with blood flowing from his head and holding his chest. This freaked me out. We were living on a first floor flat. I went to dad and said you will have to cancel your trip to Amritsar. You'll have to go to Patna. Uncle is not fine at all. Dad was busy packing. And the phone rang. My uncle had died 10 minutes back due to cardiac arrest and he banged his head on a tap while washing his feet. And I fainted.

When my grandpa died I was 15. We were in Srinagar. I woke up at 6 in morning and I saw him standing near my bed. He was pale and weak and asking for water and then he vanished. I went to wake my dad up. I said dad grandpa's dead. My dad woke up and began scolding me. I said call up and confirm. He did. And I was right. And then I fainted.

I never understood why this happened to me. Whenever I dream about any of my family members it really scares me now. And I'm still unable to understand why I fainted. But this time I didn't faint. My parent's were out of station for my sister's marriage I was living with my dad's cousin brother and his wife. They had shifted in with me as my final exams were on. Now in the evening my mom called me saying that they won't be coming back on 11th but will come back by 19th. She asked me not to worry. And I don't know what happened to me, a sudden calmness or say numbness enveloped me. And I said its ok ma. You go there. It's more important. Mom was like what? And I said he's dead isn't he? Mom said who?

And I said Phupha ji. That's my dad's dead sister's husband. And yes he had died that day. I had seen him sitting on the dining table and somehow knew.

But this time I didn't faint. I just kept the phone down and sat right there on the floor.

Why does this happen to me? If any body can please help me then do let me know that why does this happen to me.

I also see ghosts. I saw it first time when I was in Srinagar. And since then I've been seeing ghosts and spirits as well.
