My Dog Saw Something

My cousin in Virginia visits me every year. She told me a that I had a ghost in my house. I told her I had never experienced anything since I bought the house 5 years ago.That was approximately two years ago. Last night my 6 month old puppy started barking in the bedroom and was looking toward a window across from the bottom of the bed. I put the television on mute to try to determine what he had heard. As he continued to bark, I realized he was barking at something in the bedroom. He jumped to the floor and was looking above the bed and barking. A minute passed, he went under the bed, continuing to bark. He finally stopped and I called him back onto the bed. He was afraid and was smelling the bed covers just next to my legs. He slowly made his way toward the bottom of the bed and I could tell he was still afraid. Suddenly he jumped and ran toward the top of the bed. Minutes later he layed down and continued to growl. He also kept looking around the room for something as he growled. I am convinced he was seeing something I was not able to see. I have had him since he was 12 weeks old and he is not prone to barking. This is the first time I have felt there is a ghost in my house. Perhaps it was my Mother who passed away 7 months ago.
