My Mother's Angels
From: Story type: Angel Location: Conroe,Texas Source: Form Submission
My mother always enjoyed coming to visit me and my children each and every Thanksgiving. The day after Thanksgiving in November 1997 my mother started acting very unusual. She had not been feeling well for quite some time, but refused to go to a doctor. I had gone to bed that night when I awoke suddenly hearing my mother's voice screaming my name. I do not remember my feet ever touching the floor. I ran into the room and there she was on the floor and could not remember how she got there. I knew instantly by her symtoms that she had sufferd a stroke.
In the hospital she went into a coma the next day and never came out of it. The doctor's told me there was not much they could do after numerous tests that had been performed.
My mother was a very religious person. She always read her bible each and every day.
After Hospice came into the hospital to take care of her in her final days they were so wonderful. Two days before she died I came to her bedside to let her know I was going to be okay and not to worry, because the last thing my mother said to me was that she was worried about me being alone with three children to raise.
I came to the door of my mother's hospital room and a woman greeted me just outside of the door. She said hello Linda your mother is waiting for you. Not thinking much about it at the time I went to my mother's bedside. There I realized how did she know my name? Then it dawned on me that she looked disfigured like she had been in a terrible accident. I went out the door and there she was again. She asked me if my mother was holding on because of any reason. I thought for a moment and said that she and her sister-in-law had gotten into a arguement before she came to see me Thanksgiving. The woman told me to call my aunt and tell her to call the room and apologize. I did just that but my aunt said how can she know I called. I told her that the lady said when she called she would put the phone to my mom's ear.
Later that evening at home my aunt called me
crying. She said she dialed the room and a woman answered
and said Hello Mary, Vivian (my mom) wants to hear from you. My aunt Mary did not give her name and I didn't either
to the woman at the door. My aunt apologized and at that
moment the woman said my mom opened her eyes and smiled, and then slipped back into her coma. I couldn't find the
woman nor had anyone seen her at the hosital or at the door
of my mother's room. I know for a fact what I saw and know
now that the woman was my mother's angel. She so believed
in them and always told me that I always had a guardian
angel that has been with me forever. My mom died two days
later and left me with such a wonderful peace that her angels were there for her at the very end and had always
been there for her and for me.
