in 1974 i was pregnant with my first child. when i finally went into labor, i thought it would be fast as all my sisters went that way. after 2 days and labor pains getting worse i was told i would need a c-section, i could not dilate past 3 centimeters. i was told by the dr. that he wanted to give me a saddle-block, i told him no being afraid of them. he told me he would only have 5 minutes to open, deliver the baby and close me. i told him thta if he was a good doctor i would be o.k. the last thing i remember was closing my eyes and everything went dark. the next thing i realized was i had no pain and i was going upward into the most beautiful blue sky. i saw clouds and felt so good. then i heard a voice say, breath mrs. lauffer please breath. i stopped moving upward and looked down and saw myself on the o.r. table, the nurse was bagging me. i heard her say you have your baby and it's fine. i thought i'll go back and see what i had then leave again. it is now 2006 my daughter is 32 and i am still here. i realy am not afraid to die, i think maybe everyone's fear is how they will die. thank you and GOD BLESS mitzi
