Psychosomatic?
From: Christine (Penguin0678inNH@aol.com) Story type: Ghost Location: A friend's house/livingroom Source: Form Submission
At one time, I was a practicing Wiccan. I have since returned to my childhood religion of Catholicism, however keeping an open mind to the paranormal. I have, despite my religion, a deeply rooted belief in much of the paranormal. This information was needed to explain the story properly.
I was at my friend Steph's house one evening with a couple of mutual friends. We were just sitting around in the livingroom chit-chatting about this and that. Suddenly, my friend Steph began to just scream and scream, becoming more and more hysterical! Finally we were able to calm her enough to find out what she was so upset about. She told us that she could hear a "demon" yelling at her and telling her horrific things about her, us, and her family. She said that the "demon" claimed he would harm us all that evening at her house or on the way home. Being a wiccan at the time, I grabbed one of our friends and drove quickly to my house(which wasn't far away) and picked up some of my things. We returned, and I attempted to channel this "demon" through a looking glass, surrounded, of course, by a circle of salt. All that appeared to me was a pair of red, glowing eyes and a brief shadow. Of course that was enough for me to find that I had to rid the house of this "demon".
As I prepared, Steph continued crying and sobbing hysterically, claiming the "demon" was still speaking terrible things to her. I performed the ritual to ride the entire houese of the "demon", and within seconds of completion, Steph was fine. She said "he" was gone. We never had any trouble after that in her home.
Whether or not this was a true experience I can not say. I am not a priest therefore can not perform an exorcism. But I can tell you this: I was scared, as was everyone else present, and it sure as heck felt real enough at the time. Thanks for reading.
