Slithering Snake

I'm not sure what category my story falls under and since there is a story in the Angel category that's almost like mine, this is where I decided to put it.

This incident happened to me about 2-3 years ago. I was in my apartment in bed, it was the middle of the night and something woke me up. As I was waking up I felt an evil presence with me in the bed. I was terrified. Just as I thought to quickly get out of bed or say something, this thing paralized my survival instincts and I was overcome with horror. I couldn't move or scream. All I could do was stare at the wall. My mind was going wild thinking what is this thing, is this really happening? I kept thinking about God and Jesus and how bad I wanted to scream for help but I couldn't. As I kept thinking about God, this evil presence started to leave my bed and that's when I felt it, it was a snake that was slithering out of my bed onto the floor and as soon as it left my bed, so did the feeling of terror. I was able to move again. I woke up completely and just layed in bed thinking about what had just happened and if it had been a bad dream but it could't have been because the horror I felt was real. The experience lasted about one minute. I am relieved that I'm not the only one who has experienced this.
