Was a Spirit Trying to Get Through to Me Via My Cat?

i was in bed one night, i was about 10 0r 11 years old, and i loved my cat, more than anything, i still do! there he and i were, cuddled up in bed as i silently read a book, Timmy, (my cat) purring noisly. all of a sudden, i seemed to notice Timmy has stopped purring, and was now looking directly into my eyes, i thought this slightly strange, as Timmy mostly seems to avoid eye contact, like most cats. however, i carried on reading my book, pushing timmy's strange behavior to one side. not long after this, i heard some one say something to me, although i could not understand them, i could clearly hear them, a deep voice, slow and rumbling. being about 11 years old, and an animal nut, i put this scary and very starnge occurance down as it was Timmy talking to me, but now being older, and more understanding to the paranormal world, i do belive someting or some one was trying to contact me, through my cat. shortly after this, i also had dreams of devil cats, and cats, (belive it or not!) seemed to do as i said, it was extreemily starnge, but being young i thought nothing of it. around that same time, i felt rarely alone, as if i was being continually followed, and not by my cat! i still occasionally feel a presance in my house, though very rarely, and i am sure, not the same presance i experienced those few years ago.
