This experience happened in October of 2000,I was a switchboard operator in a hotel called The Concord Resort Hotel. The hotel was more than fifty years old owned by two families, and it was a famous golf resort. After the most recent owner died, the hotel was taken over by his sons who ran it into millions in debt and the once beautiful hotel was becoming run down, so the decision was made to close the hotel for good and be sold. While the closing and real estate deals went through they kept about five operators working to answer their business calls.

Now the hotel was always creepy even when there were three thousand guests in the hotel. But this one night in particular, after the hotel was closed, I was the only person on the whole grounds. No security no one, which is scary enough. I was in my office with both office doors deadbolted, watching a movie and it was quiet no phone calls so I fell asleep. I wasn't feeling well either, and at one point, I woke up and looked to the far end of my office and there was a man standing there. Not moving or talking. Just looking back at me.

He was an older man, wearing golf clothes. Izod type sweater and shirt, golf cap, plaid golf pants. I can still see him clearly in my mind. I wasn't scared at all. I just put my head back on the desk and fell asleep again. When I woke again I realized what had happened. I think his presence was in the room all the time and that night he was watching over me because I was sick and I happened to open my eyes and got to see him. He looked like a regular person. And remember I'm alone, in a locked office.

The other thing that happened there was when we had to use the rest room we had to leave our office and go across the hallway. One night I was working but this night I had two security guards with me on grounds. I was in the restroom, and I heard someone call my name like they were looking for me in my office so i called "be right out." I went to my office fully expecting to see a security guard sitting there or at least someone in the hall, but there was no one there. So I got on the walkie talkie and asked who was looking for me and they said no one. Of course I thought they were playing with me and I didn't believe them. Then a day or two later two other operators said the same thing had happened to them and one of the girls reported hearing water and splashing in the indoor pool in an empty hotel and the pool had no water in it.

I don't know who these spirits or ghosts were but over the years there were so many people who died there and there was once a suicide where a man jumped from a buliding on grounds called The Towers. Let me tell you The towers was always scary. Even if it was all lit up and the hotel was full. There was always a creepy feeling there, and many people feel the same way.

So that's my story I hope whoever reads it finds it interesting.
