First off, I should tell you that I am Catholic and that is where all my belief of angels come from (ex., I dont believe in past lives or spiritualist stuff.)Just thought I should throw that in there first. I am also a teenager, so sorry if this isn't quite perfect. I played softball for 5 years till I had to quit. I swear though, I was one of the best batters in the whole league. My story takes place 2 years after I quit.

Here it goes:

in 7th grade, I wasn't liked much by my peers. I would get picked on every day, and often come home crying. We were doing a softball unit in gym class, so I was very excited. out of everyone in my class, one other person played softball. The rest of the class was cheerleaders, if that gives you any hint as to their personalities. Anyways I was up at bat and was nervous, I was a bit rusty. I had two strikes and swung at the balls.... not good. As the last pitch was being thrown I thought, "God, just give me a chance to prove that I'm not a total loser. You gave me my athletic talent, please let it shine!" As the last pitch left the pitcher's hand, time seemed to slow down.I didn't freeze up, and I felt a warm feeling go up my arms.

Time sped up again, and I hit a pop fly into the outfield. The ball must have gone 15 fet in the air, I'm serious. I stood at home ind watched in amazement as the outfielders scrambeled to get it. In my head, I heard an adult female voice yell, "run your fastest!" but it was not one of my friends, they were all saying softball cheers. I figured that I must have been the only one to hear it. I ran like the wind to first, stole second, and made it to third before they finally lobbed the ball back to the pitcher. I couldn't have been happier that day. Considering that there's no way a 12 year old could have hit that far, I know it was my guardian angel giving me strength.

Thanks for reading! =:)
