About a year and a half ago, unexplainable events started occurring in my dorm room. I am the only person with a key to my room, since it is a single, and I am on the third floor with a locked window. My room is small and three of the walls are cement, and one wall is wood. The ceiling resembles an office ceiling made up of large tiles.

The first event that occurred involved my alarm clock. My alarm clock is a battery operated, digital alarm clock. One night I had set it for 8:00 in the morning and since I was nervous about over sleeping and missing my test, I must have checked it four or five times. In the middle of the night my alarm clock went off. It was 12 am. The next night it went off at 1 am, and then 2 am, and then finally at 3:15 am.

For the next few weeks my alarm went off every night at 3:15 am. Some nights it was accompanied by the cell phone alarm going off at exactly the same time, even when the phone did not have any battery power or was turned off. The significance of 3:15 am is that it is supposedly the inverse time of when Christ was crucified at 3:15 in the afternoon. This was scary and weird to me, but I wrote it off as maybe coincidence or some kind of electronic malfunction.

In my room I had a stuffed bear that I had made at the build a bear at the mall. This bear had a voice box inside of it that when squeezed sounded like a small child laughing. It was adorable. One night I woke up to the sound of the bear laughing. It was in a completely different part of my room than where I had placed it the night before. I tried throwing the bear on the ground, but the only way for the voice box to go off, was for it to be physically squeezed.

For the next few nights it would continue to move around the room and laugh, waking me up. It finally ended up in my bed with me and I could not take it anymore. I cut open the back, tore out the voice box and threw it away. That night the cell phone alarm started going off. As I frantically looked for it I heard it going off next to the bear. Correction: it was not next to the bear, it was inside of it.

Things kept on happening off and on for awhile and I began to get used to it. I was scared but it was mainly just the same things happening over and over. One night I met my fiancé, Ryan, at the mall on our way to Fortuna (about 40 minutes from here). He had bought me a nice pair of leather gloves from his work and they were in a box. I set them on the floor of the car. After a nice dinner we got back in the car and I was cold so I reached for the gloves. They were nowhere to be found. We searched the car three times. I figured that they had been stolen. I was so sad.

When we arrived back at the dorms we went to my room and hung out for a few hours. At that point we heard a banging sound coming from the ceiling. Ryan climbed up on a chair and lifted the tile of the ceiling. He reached his hand up there and felt a box. He grabbed it and pulled it down. It was my gloves. I think that was the first time that I fully realized that I or we were being haunted.

Although I was nervous about doing this, we went out and bought a Ouija board. We took it back to the room and used it. It worked! It told us that it was the demon Ba’al and that it was here to cause us pain. He told us things about ourselves that only we could possibly know. We were convinced that the other person was moving it, so we had a friend come in and blindfold us. It still said the same things as she read it off for us.

We used the board a few times with just ourselves and with other people. It always worked and whenever the two of us used it, it would always say that it was Ba’al. Sometimes things would happen during the sessions like the cell phone in the bear or a DVD case falling over. Sometimes we would find the board in the ceiling or even after locking it in a locker in the bathroom I would find it by my bed in the morning. During one session we asked who we were speaking to and it started spelling out the different names of the devil. Satan, Lucifer, Belial. I freaked out. I wanted to get rid of the board. Ryan and I took the board to the beach to burn it. When we got to the beach (about ten minutes away at clam beach) the lighter wouldn’t work. I was so sick of everything that had happened that I simply threw the board and the box far away into the bushes. As we walked back out to the car in the parking lot, I screamed. There on the hood of the car was the bear from my room. We got rid of the bear that night.

Nothing happened for a long time after that. The next event was probably about 21/2 to 3 months later. I had taken off my engagement ring and put it in the bottom drawer of my jewelry box. I forgot to put it back on and Ryan and I were gone for about 40 minutes. When I returned, the ring was missing. I called UPD and filed a report and searched the room, but it was nowhere to be found. Three days later Ryan called to tell me that he had bought me a new ring and as he said it I glanced towards my jewelry box. There, sitting on top, was my ring.

That was about 2 months ago and that brings me to the here and now. Last night another event occurred. I have two magnetic crosses on the fridge and one heavy cross on the wall above my bed. Ryan and I were watching a movie last night and he got up to let a friend into his room. On his way out he turned on the lights and I happened to glance up at the cross on my wall. It was upside down, as were the two on my fridge.
