The Ghost That Caused Me Nightmares

hi, this is spooky thunder again. this is another incident that happened in this house . i always hated when it was time to go to bed in this place. i would have reoccurring nightmares, one in particular that would leave me scared beyond words until the daylight would come. this is the nightmare that scared me to death. in this nightmare , i would be outside in the late night swinging on a swing that my parent's made us kids. it was hung on a big oak tree out in our back yard. i was swinging, i knew in this dream that i was alone. i knew that everyone was asleep. i could hear the crickets and a whippoorwill in the distance. i could also hear the cracking noise that the swing made . the branches and the leaves moving with each swing. i had no control. i could not move. the swing would go higher and higher, getting closer to the leaves and branches. it would also get darker and darker the higher i went. as the swing would go higher, i could feel myself getting more frightened , my heart beating faster. finally, as i reached the top, where it was pitch black, something would grab me and laugh. that is were it always ended. i would wake up in a cold sweat. my room would be ice cold. i felt like someone was in my bedroom with me, watching me. i would get into the corner of my bed, against the wall and cover up my head. i listened to every ;noise in the room praying for daylight to come.

sometimes, i would get up enough nerve to go into my parent's bedroom and sleep on the floor until morning.

i have often wondered if a spirit could influence what you dream, or cause this reoccurring dream/ i do not know. what do you all think. i would really like your opinion. i still can remember this dream clear as day after all the years that has passed by. it still frightens me to this day.
