My name is ryan. I am writing this story not about an experience i had, but an experience of my dead great aunt, joan, which she had shortly before she died. My aunt joan had lived in Lake Berryessa her whole life. She was an Athiest her entire life, therefore she beleieved in nothing. She was diagnosed with lung cancer and was given 4 months to live, the situation was not good. With the motivation of my christian grandma, marcia, joan soon found christ as her savior. However the oddest occurence happened when joan wanted to take her last trip down to the lake she was so fond of her whole life. with 2 cars full of family following each other, they made there way down the windy roads to the lake.her daughter, Megan was in the SUV following the one joan was in. while on the way there driving in a Suburban SUV, a black hawk unexpectantly flew down and hovered about 2 ft over the hood of the car. it stayed there for about a mile and then flew up into a tree, staring at my aunt. My aunt felt a sense of relief, and in her mind, she heard "you are protected." she proceeded to ask anyone else in the car if they had heard it, but they didnt. everyone was in disbeleif at the very unusual situation. when they reached the shore, her daughter megan ran out of the car, she also had hear "you are protected." but nobody else did. just mother and daughter. this shocked my entire family. when my grandma told me this amazing story it sent chills through my spine. my aunt Joan lived over twice as long as she was expected too, 8 months, before she died. That hawk was my aunt's angel, reassuring her that she was protected by god. R.I.P. Aunt Joan
