The Laugh

Well my story was from when I was a pre teen. My house is very old it was built in the early 1800’s. The back end seems to be thriving with activity. The most common is a child’s laugh. The first time I heard it we had just moved in. That was when I was 10 years of age. I went back there to my mothers bedroom to place a box of her items in there when I heard a little girl laugh then the lights went out. I said that it was probably the neighbor girl laughing and the light bulb had just blew but I went to take it out and I came back on. I ran screaming to my mother and she said that it was like I said probably the neighbor laughing and the faulty wiring. I agreed and we went back about our business.
A few nights latter I was watching a movie in moms room when the closet door opened. I went over and tried to close it but it wouldn’t budge. When I got a confused look on my face I heard that same child’s laugh. I went to my mom in the living room and told her what happened and she just put it off as something in the way and me hearing things from being paranoid.
I agreed there were many other times that things like this happened and every time my mother put it off as being my overactive imagination. I knew it wasn’t. Soon after the fifth month of life there my mom was walking and felt something grab her foot. She of course stumbled and she look and nothing was there. She started to walk away when she heard a child’s laugh.
Now she believes me and we are currently looking for a new home. Preferably one without a long hall way that leads to the back of an old home.
