It was about a year after my family had moved into my late uncle's house. He and my grandmother were killed in a tragic traffic accident about 5 months prior to us moving in. My little brother and I shared a room that was directly below my uncle's old room. One day after school, I came home and sat at the foot of my bed where I started to do my homework. At the head of my bed on my headboard I had a display of a bunch of different items and directly in the center I had a Mr. Potato Head. About 15 minutes into doing my homework, my Mr. Potato Head crashed down onto my head and fell into my lap. I tried to figure out a way that it could have possibly fallen off my headboard, but I couldn't. There is no way that it could have fallen off 6 feet through the air and land directly on top of my head.

A couple of months later, I had just drifted off to sleep when I was rudely awakened to my door opening and shutting. Thinking it was my little brother, I quickly turned on my bedlamp. The door stopped and he was fast asleep. I then checked my sisters' room to see if it was them and they too were fast asleep. Trying to shrug it off, I went back to my room and locked the door behind me and went back to sleep. Again, right as I had fallen asleep, it happened again. My door, this time, was opening and slamming shut along with the hallway light turning on and off. I immediately shot up from bed and turned my room light on and again my little brother was still asleep as well as my sisters.

Still, to this day, I have no explanation as to what happened for sure. The only conclusion I can come up with is that it was the spirit of my deceased uncle playing tricks on me as he did when he was still alive. Those were the only two experiences I had in that house.

After high school, I moved in with my grandmother and after about a year, she had passed away after a long battle with cancer. About 2 years after that my family had rented out that house to a family of a friend of mine. Not too long after that, he had approached me and began telling me stories thinking that the house was haunted and asked if I had similar experiences. He went on telling me that the living room ceiling fan would start rotating by itself when it was turned on, his stereo would just power off after he started playing his rock music, and they would hear footsteps upstairs in one of the rooms when no one was up there.

After he finished describing those stories to me, I then told him that yes, I too had had those same exact experiences when I lived there, with one exception... it was my grandmother who was doing all of that. She always had the living room ceiling fan on to have air moving. She never liked rock music as she had always told me to shut that "crap" off. And she would always walk around in the room that he heard footsteps in because that was her room of all of her stuff, or junk. This freaked him out and it wasn't long before his family had moved out of the house.
