Here's one to think about....
I went up to the graveyard with a friend, so she could put flowers down for rememberance for her mother. The place in question has no houses around, just fields, and is kept in top form. The reason why i mentioned the place still has left me flabbergasted to this day.
We spent quite a considerable time up there, that day. The weather wasn,t to good and very windy and threatening rain, with grey skies.
On leaving, my friend was driving and there is a very long windey road to the exit. As the speed limit was only 5 miles an hour . We where coming close to an old lady, being blown all over the place. Even as though my friend was driving, i had to ask her to give the old lady a lift up to the end of the road.
Wishes granted and she stoppped the car. The old lady ever so polite, got in the back seat. Saying " Oh !, Thankyou, It is a bad day, i live up the road, and i walk this way every day for my daily paper ". My friend and i just looked at each other , reading each others mind, there,s no houses up there only graves.
At the top of the road the old lady got out. She said " Thankyou, i'll be on my way". As the old lady closed the door. My friend and i was at the junction just staring at each other. "Where's she gone". i replied.
The old lady just dissapeared into thin air, honestly, there was no-where for her to disappear to. There was quite a gap before the houses. There was no way she could have got there that quick. Hence the phantom hitchiker.
On reading about this sort of phenonemon it is quite alarming.
Some stories, report, the hitchhiker can some times be identified, and the way that the hitchhiker has left the car, (for example, from the back seat between two witnesses) often seems to leave no room for ambiguity which is uncharacteristic of the general range of ghost reports.
Investigating phantom hitchhikers is no different from investigating interative ghosts though you may need your driving licence and a vehicle.
Has anyone had any similar experiences or heard of any, i would like to know.
