Premonition Changing The Future

When my wife and I got married we bought a puppy dog. He was a cute little Brittany Spaniel mix. I kept feeling he wouldn't live long. This feeling went on for a year or so.

One hot day we took him to a shallow lake so he could wade and cool off. He was sitting on the back seat of the van with his collar on, and his leash snapped to the loop on the collar, and the handle in the seat belt. We didn't want him to get away while we were opening the door because we are both disabled and slow. My wife opened the side door of the van, and I was watching the leash. the leash raised and unsnapped from the loop on his collar, and fell on the seat. He jumped out of the van and ran around the van toward the road. I got out of the van and grabbed my crutches, and headed toward him. He was a few inches from the pavement and halfway running. I said STOP, and the only time in his life that he did what I said he stopped. Just as he did a car sped past.

I never had the premonition that he was not going to live long anymore, as a matter of fact he lived to be 15 years old.
