One night I had my boyfriend over and we were fast asleep. Then at about 4 o'clock in the morning I awoke to a terrible smell. It smelled so bad it woke my boyfriend up and he is a somewhat heavy sleeper. I just asked him, "Did you smell that?" and he replied, "Yes. What is it?" Thinking that maybe something had backed up in my bathroom I went to check it out. The smell got worse when I got up but nothing had backed up in the bathroom or in the sink. I went back to bed and prayed and eventually the smell went away. Slowly but surely it went away. We were both very scared. The smell was not like anything I had ever smelled before. It smelled like rotting flesh. I never experienced anything like that again, but I know for a fact that it wasn't any type of sewage problem.
