Smelled My Grandmother's Perfume

Last evening my dear husband and I were setting quietly at home watching a couple of movies we had rented over the Thanksgiving weekend.

Suddenly I could feel a heaviness of the air around me, and then I smelled my grandmother’s perfume. It lasted for several minutes. I started sniffing around my own body trying to fixate on the source. Thinking it might have come from something I was wearing that had the hint of her perfume aroma.

I swear I sniffed every inch of my body and there was no place on my body that had any smell to it at all. My husband thought I was losing my mind since I didn’t tell him what was happening.

Every time I was bent down and smell a place on my arm, leg or wherever I would not smell it, but when I raised my head there it would be right under my nose, it’s wasn’t a faint smell either it was very strong. Finally I asked my husband if he smelled perfume or anything and he said all he could smell was the popcorn he just popped.

After what seemed like 30 minutes or more, the scent and the heaviness disappeared as quickly as it had appeared.
