Strange Experience

hi, i am 27 years old and i've been having this experience for a few years now. i am not sure exactly how to describe it but i will try to do so in the best way that i can.

it happens after i've fallen asleep, not every night but i can say at least once a month or even less. i just feel like my whole body goes numb, almost like my insides are tightening up and it's impossible to move any part of my body. i try screaming but nothing comes out. it feels like my body is curling up and resisting somehting, but i dont know what. i have tried to analyze it but to no avail. recently i had the experience and trying to sum it up again it feels almost like my body is getting smaller, like i'm shrinking into a baby. thats the best way i can summarize it.

i dont know, all i know is i dont like the feeling and it makes me very scared while its happening, and i always wake up right after, it lasts for about a minute or two for the most. anyway i just want to know if there's any one else who has had a similar feeling or if they can provide me with some sort of explanantion for this. i go to bed at night praying that i dont experience it but sometimes it just happens. please email me if u like. thank you for reading.
