Three Black Shadows

I was researching something that happened to me in early January of 2000 and it has to do with 'black shadows' and came across this website.
I lived in an old house in Portland, Maine in the basement that were converted into 2 apartments. I was living in one of them. Sometime before midnight I felt that I wasn't alone though it was only me living in that apartment. At the corner of my eye I caught a glimpse of a black shadow. thinking that it was my mind playing tricks and it would go away when I looked directly at it. Guess what? It came out of the closet at such speed and before I knew it was behind me. I freaked! I never believed or experienced anything ghostly or supernatural. This was a 3 dimensional physical shadow with an evil presence. I didn't know what to do. Then 2 more appeared.
I called '911', what else could I do? I knew it was real from another dimension and I had to get a hold of someone to come see this. I picked up the phone and dialed '911' and before I could say a word, when dispatch answered the phone was knocked out of my hand and that's when all hell broke loose.
I was pummeled, beaten, thrown up against my entertainment center, up against the wall and unto the floor where they were thrashing my head continuos into the linoleum floor. The '911' dispatch operator heard the commotion over the phone that was knocked out of my hand and still on the line. She had to trace back the call to my address because I had no chance to speak to her. The paramedics (Medcu), Portland Police and Fire rushed to the scene and had to kick 2 doors in to reach me.
I didn't know that they were there and all I could see was traveling through a black hole type space, feeling no gravity and I knew that I was done with and couldn't return. I couldn't move, feel myself, and all I knew is that I was dead and it was the scariest experience ever.
The paramedics had to use a defibrillator to jump start my heart from the shock I experienced. I had flatlined. After spending a few days at the hospital I went back to my apartment and moved out that day.
It could of been two things: My landlady told me that there were a couple of slaves that were killed in the basement of the house (built in the 1800's. I put 2 and 2 together and wondered ehy tennants didn't stay there that long and also why she had an open bible on the bannister post at the entrance on the 1st floor or I had a Ouija Board that on the way back from Sebago Lake in Maine I picked up at an old rustic roadside antique shop (barn turned shop). I thought it would look cool hanging on my wall above my bed. The strange twist is that I walked in to browse at antiques and whatever junk they had there and walked out buying nothing. Laying on the ground propped up against the siding of the shop (barn) was this Ouija Board that caught my eye. I had to have it and I asked the owner "How Much?" He told me "It's not for sale, take it."
I never believed in any of this until it happened to me. I've done research and still do from time to time and that's how I came across your website. I'm not trying to scare you and your friends but just be careful about darkness and the unknown. It's real, it's around us, and it is detrimental. When I was a teenager my friends and I were into listening to Black Sabbath, Ozzy, Iron Maiden, and the list goes on. We had seances and played around in graveyards but always thought it to be fun exploring to see if something would happen but not to this extreme. You don't have to email me back. I just wanted to let you know that it can get out of hand even if you're just playing around or practicing with the supernatural out of boredom. Keep Well, Ralph
