Unsuspected Help

I planned to go to Arcadia, Fl one April evening in 2003 (I believe) from Cordele, Georgia, which is where I lived. I traveled to Arcadia previously with my dad to purchase produce to sell back home and I organized another trip because the first load of produce was profitable. So I asked my dad and some of my brothers to go with me to pick up the produce. It is approximately a 6 to 9 hour ride depending upon driving conditions one way. They all declined and my mother suggested that I wait until the morning to leave and then my dad may travel with me since it was about 6 p. m. on the 29th of April. I wanted to stay on schedule because I'd planned a big day of merchandising for the coming Wednesday. Nevertheless, I postponed my departure at my mother's request.
After I woke up around 9 p.m., I decided to leave alone. I took a different approach to make up for lost time because I lost my bearings at night. Looking at the map, I took the 349 which would put me back on 19 around Cross City, Florida. It was about 2 a. m. in the morning. I saw a lot of deers. As I approached a curb on the 349, there was a mist covering the road and I heard a voice speak to me "Brace yourself!" Without rationalization, I put both hands in front of me on the steering wheel and my feet in the floor board of my 2001 F150 XLT. When I passed through the mist when I heard a loud bang. I hit a large animal but I didn't see what it was. Upon impact it seemed that I blacked out for a second.
The next thing I recall was sitting on the side of the road with a smashed front end and the engine was still running but I couldn't move the vehicle. So I determined to stay in the vehicle until daybreak because it was very dark and I was afraid that I would encounter some wild animal.
After I prayed, I began to drift back and forth into sleep. Suddenly there was a light behind me and I saw 2 people standing slightly behind my door! He tapped gently on the side of the truck - I was secure in the vehicle so I spoke through a crack in the window. They were middle aged in appearance and one was "male" and the other "female" in appearance. The woman said nothing. The man said "How are you?" I said, "I am o'kay." Then he said, "We heard the commotion and came to see about you. Don't worry, we've called help and they should be here shortly." They stood behind my truck until emergency services arrived. Because of the chaos of the moment, I didn't thank them at that time.
When I got back home, about a week passed and I wanted to tell my rescuers thank you for coming to my aid so I took my family to the exact area of the incident and was suprised to find out that there was no one on the 349 who lived in the area that remembered coming to my aid that Tuesday morning around 2:30 a. m. To this day I say, that they were my guardian angels.
