Was I Dreaming? Or Did This Happen?

A few weeks ago, I decided to try and have an OOBE. I have been reading a book on the topic, and remebered having them as a child. I remember past OOBE in great detail, but never understood why or how they happened. I went for a nap in the afternoon, and tried to get my mind into a different state. I remember semi- dozing off, and thats when things got a little wierd.

I was laying in a fetal position, feeling very relaxed. Then, very quickly, it felt as though my legs were vibrating very fast, but it was a controlled movement. The thing that seemed strangest to me, was that I was(or my contience) was answering all of the questions that popped up in my mind. This felt very new to me, and I have to admit, it was a little bit scary. I asked what was happening, and something told me that I was in preperation to leave my body. It said that the feeling would progress throughout my body, starting at my toes, and working up to my head. I was told that when I started to feel these vibrations in my head, that would be it.

The first few times, I was told, I would remember only parts of the journey. This was when I opened my eyes, and I felt as though I was sleepwalking, but I did not move from my position, I just opened my eyes. The "thing" talking to me mentioned that my cat was sleeping next to me, and that was a good thing. Something about a cat being very spirituaaal, and almost like a guardian. I opened my eyes, in a semi concious state, and sure enough, my cat was ther, all he did was let out a quiet meow, and curl back up.

I again closed my eyes, and the vibrating continued as I have described earlier, only this time, four dark figures stood around me, at each corner. I aske who, or what they were, and was told that I didnt want to go near them. The vibrating that I was feeling, was my soul learning(relearning) how to balance. Then I woke up.

I am a rational person, with a level head, and strong faith in God. I can not explain what happened to me any better than I have. Has this happend to any of you out there?
