The White Lady

My grandmother's house has a spirit or spirits, rather, in her home. The one I'm writing about is the one my family likes to call the white lady. Why, you ask? That would be because everytime she's seen, she is wearing a white, lacy, old fashioned nightgown. It has been seen clearly enough for me to describe it quite well. It has long sleeves, very loose on the arms with the lace being at the end of the sleeves. The gown has a high collar, and down the middle of the gown to about the waist area there is lacing decor as well. So does the bottom of the gown. It ends at around the middle calf, I think. The white lady has long dark hair and is sometimes seen walking down the hallway in the night, but usually she tends to stay in what my family likes to call the red room (because that is the only color in the room, besides the brown of the wooden bed posts). I believe (and my sisters agree with me) that this "white lady" is our aunt who died in a car crash in the sixties. She lets us know she's there by sight or sound on occasion, but I believe she's there to protect every one in the house from whatever spirit, soul, or demonic being that lies within the basement next to the old window in her room, which just happens to be the red room.
