Death Felt Cheated

I just submitted a story last night but I had to tell you this one too, it was very frightening.

I told you about my mom's boyfriend, Dick who died in our home. He followed us to Arizona when we moved there and later when we moved to Nevada.

While we were living in Arizona....Chandler Heights, my son who was now 8 months old got very sick. He couldn't keep anything down and was breaking out in very small red bumps...I was afraid it might be smallpox. One night my mom was woken up by a presence sitting on the foot of her bed, and touching her leg. She heard as plainly as if he was solid Dick telling her to guard those little boys with her life. Meaning my son and my nephew who was 1 yr old.

The next day, my son was not any better so I decided to take him to a doctor. The doctor examined him and told me if I had waited another 24 hours he would have died. He had a very bad case of pneumonia and the red dots were the platelets in his blood cells hemorraging. He stayed in the hospital for 10 days and then I brought him home well and perky. That evening I put him to bed as usual and went to bed myself. About 2 hours later, I felt like someone was holding a pillow over my head trying to suffocate me. My head was actually being pressed into my pillow. I managed to fight it off, and there was nothing there. But there was a black mass I couldn't really see, I just knew it was there and it was beckoning for me to go to it. There were no words, not even in my thoughts but I knew it was saying it.

I was so scared I went to my mom's room and asked her if she would sleep in my bed with me. Of course she said yes. I had just fallen back asleep when she said she heard the baby start gasping for air. When she stood over the baby's crib and felt for him she stuck her hands into icy cold air. She knew immediately what was happening and said "Dear God watch over this family" and the presence? left and never came back.

When we told my aunt about it the next morning she said Death felt cheated and when my son got better it came after me, then decided to try one more time with my son and my mom saved us both.

I promise I will tell you about the little girl living in my home here at another time.
