Moon Chochins

The following is a synopsis of my second out of body experience that I am aware of. It occurred on December 13, 2006 and was recorded immediately upon waking. After my first experience (which is described elsewhere), during which I was hardly able to move and quite frightened, I began to research the phenomenon. While it seemed real enough to me, I realize that the senses can be fooled. Thus, I cannot prove that there is such a thing as out of body projection in the sense that the consciousness / spirit seperates from the body and wanders either the physical or some sort of higher plane. However, what I call 'projection' is so vastly different from even the most realistic dreams that I have become convinced that it is a seperate sort of event altogether.
I regained consciousness in the middle of the night. While trying to turn over onto my other side, I rolled off the bed. The sensation was so real, short of any actual impact, that I thought that I was physically on the floor. Almost instantly, I was back in bed and under the covers. I quickly caught on to what was happening* and rolled out through my back again. Slowly gaining control of my movements, I crawled to the door of my room in a strange sped-up way, as if in fast-forward (ever seen how the elves move in BBC's 'Merlin'?).
Unlike my first experience, I had no trouble moving around after leaving my room. While making my way downstairs, I saw one of my cats, Feodor, who seemed to noticed me as well. I then appeared at, rather than moved to, the front door and tried walking through it without success. I began focusing on the crack around the door and somehow phased to the other side of it.
As I appeared outside, I began noticing multiple things that could not have possibly been true in the real world. The sky was purple with a very bright field of large and dispersed stars, even though it was in reality overcast. All of our neighbors' Christmas lights were on, which was not true so late at night. A large collection of cars were parallel parked on all the streets of my neighborhood, which never happens. Finally, I noticed that the moon was in the northeast, too far north than it could possibly be.
I began floating toward it. Every few feet that I moved, however, my vision would change focus and the moon would be replaced with a much closer round chochin (Japanese paper lantern), with the moon still directly behind it when I moved my head. This made me extremely happy and giddy. As I moved along, I created a glowing trail of colorful lanterns every few feet.
After this point, I seemed to have started dreaming, as my memory became fuzzy. Next thing I remember, I was phasing into a neighbor's house because I saw a white cat through their window. Inside, however, the house was incorrect. I saw some sort of small closet at the top of some stairs and then found myself in a room that looked strangely like my aunt's old room in Russia. My parents were in a bed reading and seemed to acknowledge my presence. At this point, my memory got progressively fuzzier and the details more dreamlike as I began to wake up.
