OBE Then My Brother Died

In 1984 I was 19. there was a United States recession going on. I had just moved into the Woodstock Motel with my boyfriend Ken Thomas. He was 21 and an alcoholic so he and my stepdad did not get along. Thats why we ended up at the Woodstock Inn, room #4. On January 7, 1984 I ended up walking about 5 miles in the bitter cold just to get a meal at the Woodstock train stop. Me and Ken walked there just to get 2 meals a day. We walked back to room #4 at the Woodstock Inn. it was getting dark by now. We watched tv for a while and discussed how we were gonna try and find jobs. Finally we fell asleep.

That night it was January 14, I awoke, I recall it clearly like it happened yesterday. I was awaked in the middle of the night. All the sudden my body split and had a spirit body. This spirit body propelled and floating above my body. My body looked like a shell below me. I saw Ken's body fast asleep. The room was dark, and it seemed that I was in a different plane. a spirtual plane. I was still floating and I tried to yell and scream for help but Ken did not hear me. I was propelled and floating in total darkness. I could see everything going on around me. I could hear Ken snoring but still when I yelled my voice did not project. finally after about 4 hours my spirit body went back into my physical body. I fell fast asleep.

I awoke the next morning and told Ken what happened. He did not know what to say.

We continued eating at the Train Stop and looking for jobs. The winter grew even colder it was now January 14, 1984 we had another week at the motel and we just hoped for jobs. It was about 2pm I got a knock at the door. I was told to go to the office, it was a family emergency. I ran in and took the telephone from the asian clerk. Richard my step dad was on the line he was crying. "Sean your brother just died in a car accident Carri, you got to come home." I'll send someone out to pick you up. He was crying. I started screaming "no, no no he's only 17. " Marene Lanz the McHenry County Coronor came to the motel to pick me up. she drove me to Jankowski Road in Woodstock. thats where my parents lived.

I arrived at the house. It was dark and cold. I went inside everyone was crying. Gina my sister was there, Mom and dad. Then Ken arrived. It felt like a bad dream, but I couldnt wake up from it, it was real. I took him in the back room and told him."I think that Out of Body experience the week before remember it." "He replied yes. "Well it happened for a reason. It had some type of connection. The Out of Body Experience in a way forewarned me of my brother's death. He shakenly agreed. Carri
