Past Life Experiences

I have never believed in past life experiences or in the power of dreams, or anything like that. However, a few weeks ago I had a dream which was so overpowering that I knew when I woke up it was a past life experience.
The dream seemed to take place in the present, or rather that people spoke as they do now and I understood everyone, but everything looked much different. I didn't pay too much attention to the clothes, but I did have a sense of coming off a big wooden boat into a small village or fort that I had been before. It seemed as though many men and I were returning to someplace we had been before. The thing that struck me as being from the past was that the entire village was made of wood. The town was very happy to see us and there was much celebration it what seemed to be a bar; however, it was more of a ceiling and three walls with an open wall. The seats seemed to be more of stumps than chairs. And there were a lot of women gathering around us. All the wood seemed somewhat green in nature and I had a strong sense I was in West Virginia. We seemed to be on a mountain overlooking a waterway or maybe an ocean. I remember as the night wore on that everyone left and I went home with a woman to a small house with a weird round staircase that went up into a tiny room with a triangular type roof, it was very confining.
Then, it seemed that we were all called away very quickly and had to go. I was a bit late and nearly missed my boat. The town seemed to be bummed we were leaving and it was a very rushed exit, then I awoke. This dream was so vivid it was like no other dream I had. I remember thinking it was very important that the trees were greenish, as I have lived on the West Coast my entire life and have mainly seen buildings made of brown or red type of trees. These trees in my dream were very freshly cut and the whole walkways around town were made of them as were all the buildings, except some of the houses which seemed older. At any rate, I googled trees which were common in West Virginia and found a whole host of trees whose bark seemed somewhat green. I have never been east of Nevada and am not familiar with West Virginia. I did have the strong sense of being in an army or navy when I awoke.
I didn't think much of past life dreams even at this point, because I had only had one. Yet, I recently awoke from another one and am kind of spooked out. This one was very different. I am accompanying an older man, not old but older than I am in my dream. We stumble upon someone who I seem to know is a nazi, yet he is out of uniform and in possession of no power. He kind of seems like a drunken bum. I have the feeling that it is after World War 2.
Anyway, the man I am with is talking with this nazi and I either do not hear or understand them. Then I do something very out of character, I start to talk to the nazi about how awful jews are- he then begins to trust me and we speak for awhile, then the man says that he was a nazi and killed my friends parents. It becomes apparent that I tricked him into confessing his crimes to me and the man seems satisfied with knowing what happened to his parents, as if he thought they might still be alive. We seem to be in a seedy type place out in the open, like a ruined city street or something... then the man and I leave this nazi type homeless guy and go on some weird zip line that we hold onto. This is very weird too, because it seems like there are a few other people on this zip line which seems to be motor powered, but we have to hold on with our hands- this part of the dream seems very familiar and we have to hold on while we go over very ravenous terrain. Then, there is like a lodge or bar where we stop to rest for a few and I lose the man I was with. Now, this seems like a stupid dream because of the zip line thing, but just like with the trees in West Virginia it seemed to be the important detail I remembered. Then, I googled nazi zip line and I saw an article about treetop trekking, which seems to be something in Europe that is somewhat trendy, but in the article it says that it started in Nazi Germany and people used it as a means to escape East Germany after the war.
This dream struck me as very weird and quite peculiar. It would seem as though I was some sort of guide for the person who wanted to find out about his parents, that I was not Jewish or a Nazi, but familiar with the area and the people.
