Reading other peoples’ experiences of flying has satisfied my curiosity about my memories of flying as a child. It has always seemed more like a memory than a dream, and happened several times. I remember standing in the front yard and effortlessly leaving the ground and flying.

Another memory I have is a bit disturbing. I think I was about 4 or 5yrs old and also happened several times. I don’t know how many times. it would even occur in the presence of my parents, although they obviously didn’t notice anything happening. I remember being pulled into a place that I didn’t want to go by some kind of entity… not physically pulled but more like a gravitational force. I didn’t actually see who or what it was, but I felt it was pretty evil. Resisting it was like trying to walk into a strong wind. Sometimes I would get away, usually if I recognised the feeling just beginning, but other times I know I didn’t escape. I have no memory of what happened then. That was 45yrs ago and the memories of the feelings are just as strong as if it happened yesterday.
