Shared Experience with Pet Dog

I have a cute little miniature dog. Her name is Rosie. She's 2 years old and a few months. Three times now, I have experienced things with her:
1. Rosie sleeps on the bed. Rosie was still a pup. Rosie wakes me up in the morning and we play on the bed til I wake up enough to get up. We were really happy playing that one time and then we heard a dog bark from the middle of the room. Rosie looked as surprised as I was. It was a happy bark from another small dog. Rosie barked a happy bark right back so I know we both heard it. There was no other dog in the room. The bark came from the middle of the room. I think it was my previous dog, a daschund mix.
2. Rosie and I visited my brother's house in January 08. Me and Rosie are on the bed in the middle of the night. It's not completely dark because I have little lights on. There are streetlights also. I turn to face Rosie still reading the magazine I'm lounging with. Rosie is wagging her tail at someone and looking attentively. No one is there. Rosie has never done this before. I'm not scared if Rosie is not scared. The vibe is friendly. So I keep reading my magazine and watch Rosie for a little. She's wagging her tail and visiting someone I can't see. Finally, she cuddles next to me. In the morning, my brother explains about the woman ghost. I tell him I think the ghost is friendly. Rosie likes her.
3. Last year in the summer, Rosie woke up about 5:00 in the morning. She was a little over a year old. I woke up to take her outside to do her business. We step onto the front porch. We don't get a chance to go down the steps because we see a small circle of lights on the ground. The lights are glowing.
What is this? Why is there a small circle of lights at the end of the driveway. I don't know.
Usually, Rosie would have done her little dog barking bit. But this time, we must have both felt the same way - just get back in the house and forget about it. And go to sleep.
