Silvery Ball of Light

This past week I had an eerie night experience. I was sound asleep. Suddenly I awoke but my eyes were still closed. I was very aware of a presence above me. Without a thought almost an automatic reaction my eyes opened as I sat up reaching out to grab it. My action was so sudden that it seemed to suprise the orb. It jumped back in the air to miss contact with me. I could see that it was LIGHT. It was light within light. Almost metallic, silvery, swirling lights. It illuminated the room.I could FEEL a sound. As quickly as it had jumped back to miss me it flew out my open bedroom window. It moved so fast. I could see the lights within it becoming a part of the tail as it fled my room. The lights within it became part of the tail as it left. I looked at my window wide-eyed. The strong steady breeze blew my curtains. I noted that the ball of light/ orb had just flown out my window against the breeze. I immediately thought of my children. Especially my six year old son that has been sick with a blood infection. I ran to check on him. He seemed to be sleeping soundly. My girls were sleeping soundly as well. I had awoken my husband but he had fallen back to sleep. I lay down, closed my eyes and slept.

I haven't stopped thinking about it though. Why did it not want me to touch it? Why did I react the way I did? It was as if it were a'planned' action. Almost as if I somehow knew it was there as I slept. Why was it there? What was its purpose? Did it visit my children? Questions soar through my mind. I almost want it to come back yet I have so many concerns.
