Sudden Courage

As a young girl, my mother loved reading in her room. Unfortunatly, she was also deathly afraid of the dark. One day as she was reading her favorite book, her dad didn't notice she was in her room, and turned off the light. My mom was absolutly petrified. She was so scared she couldn't get up, so she screamed and beat on her room floor for who knows how long. Then, suddenly as if nothing happened, she claimed to have sudden courage and she saw a small yet bright light. So she got up went to the light (which was on the light switch) and flicked it on. To this day, she still says with definate certainty, that her gardian angel gave her sudden courage.
