What Happens In Vegas...
From: Story type: Ghost Location: Las Vegas, NV Source: Form Submission Date submitted: Thu Aug 21 17:37:43 2008
I was visiting my best girlfriend in Vegas last year and she has a gorgeous mansion in Henderson, NV (10 min from the strip). The first night I woke up to the feeling of being watched. But more than that, I was sleeping but "saw" a dark shadowed man leaning over me. I figured It was a dream and went back to sleep. The next day I told my friend and she confessed that her place was haunted. I believe in that stuff, but brushed it off. So, we went out and when we came back, all of my stuff in the closet was thrown on the floor. Apparently the closet is where it likes to stay & it was angry I had put my stuff in there. Still not believing, I figured it was her little brother or something. I put my stuff back and went to take a shower.
BAD idea. While I was showering (mind you there are no vents or A/C or windows in the bathroom) the shower curtain blew in with full force into me while I was taking a shower, scared me s***less. It took all my courage to open the curtain--but nothing was there. However, the steam on the walls was dripping (I wasnt even taking a hot shower) and the condensation was red. I went out to the main rom and my friend was sleeping. I asked her if she had opened a window, but she wasn't even awake so she couldn't have. I went back into the bathroom and there was a swirl drawn into the steam on the mirror. So we go about our day and I tell her about all this and she's shocked and simply says, "I guess he doesnt like you. He's never been that bad with other people that have slept over. I really think its 'cause your catholic and you're wearing the crosss. I once tried putting candles and holy water in the room but he knocked stuff over when I came back in." At this point I'm thinking, "What am I doing in this house?!"
SO we leave and come back to find the balcony WIDE OPEN. We had it locked and shut when we left and noone had been home. The weirdest part was that the balcony doors have decorative shutters that are painted shut. Even they were open. That would've taken alot of effort. Strong spirit. So I go to change and again my stuff is thrown around the closet and my suitcase is tipped over. Once, I was in the closet changing and the dog walked over and lets me pet her. Then she stares above me and started growling. I GOT THE HELL OUT OF THERE.
I wanted to know the whole story, so she told me.
They moved into the house a few years ago and everything was fine. Then one night my friend woke up to the smell of something burning. She walked around, looked, nothing. So she got back in bed. She woke up again to her closet light on, balcony open and overhead lights on. Thats not all, the fire alarm was going off. She gets up opens the door and the alarm goes silent. She figures someone is burning something outside, she slept walk or something and gets back in bed. Again, the alarm goes off. Then the one in front of her mom's room & they smell the burning smoke/burning hair smell. Her dog at this point is going NUTSO. Barking at the closet and then running out of the room and barking at her room NOT going in. This went on for hours until she went into her mom's room, went under the covers and slept it out. Ever since, stuff like this has happened daily.
After she told me this, I was pissed that she hadn't warned me and her response was "I was hoping he wouldnt show himself the 3 days you were here.." ha. Everyday, at least 3 or 4 things happened. Finally It was time for me to go and it was my last night there. So I go to bed with the balcony open, with a large rock holding it only partially open. I go to sleep.
I wake up around 3AM and ALL the lights are on, the TV is BLASTING and my friend is sound asleep so I KNOW she didnt turn anything on. Her dog is staring at the closet frozen. The balcony is WIDE OPEN and the rock is outside on the balcony (if you're thinking its the dog, this rock weighed atleast 20 lbs) I was freaking out but just kinda tried to keep calm because HE knew when you were scared. So I got up and talked to HIM saying "If you wanna watch TV that's fine. I'm turning down the volume so I can sleep that's all." and I turned it down and went to sleep. That was my experience in Vegas, & I know alot of other people have had weird things happen in LV.
I believed in ghosts before but this--- I saw it with my own eyes so, you non-believers, I'll invite you to stay at her house to see for yourselves. My one friend here in Chicago believes that I brought a spirit into his house shortly after my Vegas trip. Does everything that happens in Vegas really STAY in Vegas?
