I was a teaching in a private school. It was kind of conservative in dress--uniforms, dark colors. One year two young teachers were hired who cared nothing about dark colors. They did not dress outlandish but they loved bright colors, shiny earrings and much, much finger nail art and such.

I guess I was upset about a lot of things because I use to sit at the lunch table wondering why they cared so much about their finger nails--finger nail books, finger nail art, fingernal colors--

One day as I was watching them disgustedly, eating my tuna sandwich, I heard a voice...It said, "Child...why are you so sad?..." I looked around to see where the voice was coming from. Nobody was near me. The voice went on..."Don't you know all colors belong to me...?

What!

In a matter of seconds I saw angels with every concievable color, jewels, silks, satins, buttons, trims, all colored HAIR, even pink, even jewels on their sandals.

I was so astonished at that revelation that I never told anyone for twenty years.

From then on I never criticized anybody's hair color, jewelry, or clothes. Life is too short. I also learned that some young girls need pretty things to help them through certain periods of their lives.
